Last Modified: 2006-10-26 20:17:17 Title: Home

The Parallel Volume Raycaster is a raycaster that specializes in rendering volumetric data. It can be run either as a standalone program, or as a rendering server for clients such as Volume Rover. It can combine shaded and unshaded volume rendering with isosurfaces.

Features

  • Runs single threaded, or in parallel using MPI
  • No graphics hardware required. All rendering is done in software.
  • Combined volume rendering and isosurface rendering
  • Shaded or unshaded volume rendering
  • CORBA interface for coupling with external clients
