:Axion Tracts
17.6 Tesla Anisotropic Diffusion MRI of Rat Spinal Cord With Axon Tracts Isolated - Professor Tom Mareci.

Isolated axon fiber tracts can be used to place "sieve electrodes", which are also formed by the 3D printing process, at each end of a selected axon fiber tract to form PP/gel fibers that incorporate ECM and NGF.

Professor Thomas H. Mareci (Director of the Center for Structural Biology,College of Medicine, University of Florida, Gainesville) has been able to isolate axon tracts in his visualizations of the rat spinal cord. His group is also able to visualize tissue types and coordinates for placement of the various tissue within the spinal cord.
